#16 of "30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself"

It's the rule of life that everything you have always wanted comes the very second you stop looking for it.

#16 Stop being jealous of others. Jealousy is the art of counting someone else’s blessings instead of your own.  Ask yourself this:  “What’s something I have that everyone wants?”

Just like with Adam and Eve you can't always have what you want. The definition of Jealous: resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage, etc., or against another's success or advantage itself. Being jealous of what others have is a waste of your time and energy! Stop worrying about everyone else and worry about yourself!!! There are some things in life you can not change. Someone else will always have more money, more expensive car, bigger house... or what you think is the perfect life. Be thankful for what you do have! Negative energy brings negative results. Start thinking positive and good things will follow. Dwelling on the "don't haves" vs. I am blessed with what I do have is not healthy and just brings you down.

Count your blessings! You wake up everyday, you have your health, you have your family and friends, you have food on your table, you have a job... YOU have a reason to live!!! Be thankful and rejoice in the beautiful things in your life. There are a lot of people that don't even have the simplest things in life. Being jealous of the "material" things in life isn't going to bring happiness to your life, it is only going to  bring heartache and grief. "Reach high, for the stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep for every dream precedes its goal."

Dance as though no one is watching
Love as though you have never loved before
Sing as though no one can hear
Live as though heaven is on earth

LIVE - LAUGH - LOVE
Only you have the power to make it happen!!!
